Beautiful Prague at night looking up at the Castle
Old Town
Charles Bridge
These are the tales of my adventures through Europe, follow along to see where I'll end up next! I've never done a blog before but I think it's worth a shot so I can look back at this time and remember all the fun I had!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
It's been a whirlwind of activity here. I got through the airports just fine but when I got to Prague I realized that I never actually wrote down where I was supposed to go so I got into the airport and tried to connect to the internet with some success but it wouldn't let me access my email so I had no way of knowing where to go...I remembered that I was supposed to go to the Florence stop on the metro and the name of the street I live on so I took the bus from the airport to the metro and the metro to Florence and got off and came up to the street level and had no clue what to do so I went to this hostel and begged the girl to let me use their internet because when I sat down outside to find a connection they were all password protected so I finally found out where I needed to go but ended up walking so far in the wrong direction pulling my heavy bag with my heavy backpack on top of it down cobblestone streets which about ruined the suitcase wheels, the cover on one of them just came off, it was soooo hot, I was in all black and so close to just coming back home. I was super overwhelmed but I finally got to my apartment and got settled.
I met the only other student that was here, Garrett. We spent the next 2 days roaming the streets all day just looking at everything, it was fun. So I know Garrett very well since we spent 48 hours together, we went out the last 2 nights until 7 in the morning, so that is super different since our nights end at about 2 am at home. There are so many great things about Prague! I really like it here, its an adjustment for sure, we have a washer but no dryer... I'm not sure how I'm going to hang dry everything all semester...
People started arriving today so far I have one of 4 roommates, she's from South Carolina and pretty cool so far. We met a bunch of other people so I like everyone so far :) The weather really changed in the past 24 hours, when I got here it was super sunny and hot and then next day was the same but today there is a storm moving in and its 60 degrees and pouring rain (and I have no umbrella... should have listened to mom, but really I just forgot about it...)
Going to be social now! More later!

Summer Reflection
This has been the summer of a lifetime, who would have thought that what Hannah and I deemed as the 'summer of yes' would turn out to be so fantastic. From meeting so many great new friends to all of the exciting things we got to do, it has been the best summer yet. Saying yes has been the key, spontaneity is imperative; sometimes you just have to fly by the seat of your pants and see where that takes you. Work a little less, play a little more :)
I experienced a number of new things including a new-found love for Boulder, ultimately discovering where I belong. As I wrap things up here for my nearing trip to Prague I've been reflecting on who I am and what my purpose in life is and I've concluded that I don't care where I end up, I just want to experience all the things that this world has to offer. Too often do I hear people talking about how miserable they are in summer school or how they just worked the summer away, that is surely not how I plan to live out my life; we have our whole lives ahead of us to work and be miserable, why start now? So I'll graduate a semester late, but did I spend every hour studying and busting my butt to graduate on time to have no job....? Nope. Here's to having the time of my life in Europe and savoring every second of it!
